There are systems out there bloated by trying to do too much and costing the earth. So complex have they become that they require rocket scientists to use them and actually blocks / slows the commercial process with unwanted layers. Often these have been reverse engineered from accounting software to perform a commercial role. Yet a more nimble system that responds to exactly the needs of the company has been proven to be more effective in satisfying those needs as well as keeping costs down.  There is no point in overkill if half the system is redundant...Oyster sets out to do exactly what the client needs in the most simple, quickest and easy to use structure we can....

Oyster takes the reverse approach. Commercial requirements first to cut the layers and cut the work. Listen to the customer and allow them to add the functionality in a modular fashion (admittedly with the odd bespoke tweak to meet their needs) around a central trunk.  Oyster knows each client is unique - so are their needs and so should their ERP system be. It should respond to their needs rather than impose a format upon them. Of course, Oyster will via its account manager provide advice where it is deemed helpful...but at the end of the day the customer once armed with all the possibilities and information knows best. Oyster respects that and does its best to respond by allowing the customer to pick and choose which components they use as their starting point.
